To give hoteliers more options and flexibility to drive direct bookings their way, we’re happy to announce that pay-per-stay is the newest campaign type with Rate Connect.
How does pay-per-stay work?
When you opt for pay-per-stay, which follows the CPA model, you can choose one of the available commission rates to pay on guests’ direct bookings after they’ve completed their stay.*
And, of course, this campaign type also provides all the metrics you need to monitor your performance with Rate Connect:
- Keep track of the total number of direct bookings and their booking status
- Check the total value of all direct bookings based on tracking data
- Stay on top of the total commission of all direct bookings
With pay-per-stay, you can influence the visibility of your website rates on trivago, too. The higher the commission rate, the more visible those are to potential guests in trivago search results.
As the travel industry works its way out of the pandemic, a pay-per-stay campaign can be a viable option to have for your digital marketing initiatives. This risk-free approach enables you to strive towards capturing travelers’ direct bookings via trivago and, at the same time, minimize costs.
How can you switch to pay-per-stay?
When you log in to your trivago Business Studio account, open your Rate Connect app and click on the Settings tab:
- Choose Campaign Type
- Click on Change under your current campaign type
- Select Pay-per-stay
- Follow the steps to set up your new campaign
- Click on Save once you’ve finished
Please note that the availability of pay-per-stay depends on the setup with connectivity providers. If this campaign type doesn’t appear in your Rate Connect at this time, get in touch with your connectivity provider to better understand when it’ll be available to you.
*trivago won’t charge you for a canceled booking, unless you keep part or all of its booking value.
